Anyone who has ever visited the region of Warmia and Mazury usually comes back with sentiment. People are captivated not only by clean, blue lakes, forests that reach to the horizon and delicious food, but also by the traditional austere development. Bearing in mind the fans of the rustic style, Jawor-Parkiet is coming back to tradition presenting the new Retro collection - stylized oak boards.
The association with the region of Warmia and Mazury is not accidental - this is where the head office of the company is located, so it was a natural inspiration. – Our region is extremely rich in wooden construction. In traditional Mazurian cottages many years ago, thick oak beams, rectangular blocks were applied while classic boards with numerous knots where assembled on the floor, that is all that is close to nature. And this is what the new collection of our floors refers to – Janusz Gawiński, the manager of Jawor-Parkiet explains.
Retro collection – the uniquely oldened oak boards with clearly marked drawing of grains and big knots - is the return to regional tradition. The final effect is made up of a series of wood processing activities, such as hand-planing, brushing, colouring and oiling. Natural cracks, dents, exhibited natural discolouration imitate the traces of long-term use and give the floor the extremely rustic character.
The colours ofRetro collectionwill take us on a journey to northern Poland. Szary szkwał (Grey Squall) and Mazurska binduga (Masurian Binduga) will surely arouse positive associations among sailors. The first colour brings to mind dark, grey, rough lake on a rainy day. The shade of delicate brown colour, that isMazurska binduga (Masurian Binduga), are the memories of a sailing adventure with the sea chantey in the background and evening fire by the platform. Deep, dark colour of Stary młyn (Old mill) like a time machine will take us to a traditional village in Warmia and Mazury while the clear, sharp white of Mroźny poranek (Frosty morning) will evoke the memories of snowy wood pathways and the wintery frost covering the field trees.
The boards have a two-layer structure due to which they may be applied on underfloor heating. The top layer, one of the thickest on the market, which is even 6 mm thick allows for long-term use. While the bottom layer limits the work of the wood and protects it from distortions. The product is available in two sizes - traditional FertigDeska with the length up to 1500 mm and width up to 150 mm and long and wide FertigDeska Luxury board which is up to 2200 mm long and up to 200 mm wide.
The new line shall also be applied in rustic mansions outside the city, rural houses as well as it shall prove perfect in austere loft arrangements.
