Vintage Series

Oak Vintage 1970’s
Dusty Brown

Freedom of style and nonchalance are the hallmarks of this period. Such is the Vintage Series in Dusty Brown shade. In this décor brown and grey sparkle with many shades. It allows for greater flexibility in the application and own interpretation of colours. Like the disco music of the 70s and Jane Birkin styling. This floor can be used both in classic, as well as boho and eclectic style interiors.

Sapwood and knots allowed, significant colour differences, random grain arrangements, cracks allowed, bark pockets allowed, silver grain allowed

  • Types of finishes

  • 3 layers of oil-wax finish

Oil-wax: Infiltrates the structure of wood, underlining its natural beauty and, at the same, preserving the floor. Requires more frequent maintenance, but enables to make spot renovations.
  • Brushing

Involves brushing of the soft parts of grains in order to obtain small pits. Gives the effect of antiquating the floor.
  • Planing

A traditional wood-shaping method makes the surface undulating and uneven. Dents created during the process may also go beneath the surface.
  • Bevels V4

Similarly as in the case of Bevels V2, it includes gentle cutting down the edges. However, in the V4 phase all the four edges, not only two of them, undergo the process of cutting. Optically emphasizes particular elements of the floor.
  • Horizontal saw traces

Saw traces on the board surface perpendicular to the board edge. Traces of different intensity give a floor a very rustic character.

Oak is the most valued native species of deciduous trees. Naturally grows in Europe and locally in western Asia. It is a long-lived tree, growing for more than 300 years. Inividual specimens can have even 1000 years. Oak can be up to 40 m high.
Oaken wood has a light-brown to dark-brown color. Each growth ring starts at least one or more rows of vessels with good lighting, which makes the rings easily visible. It is possible for numerous knots to appear.

Oak belongs to the category of medium shrinkable wood with a high level of hardness and density. It is density which is responsible for its high mechanical properties. This wood is characterized by high compressing and static bending strength.

The most attractive from the esthetical point of view is a radial section with silver grain visible, underlined through finishing with varnish layers. Oak wood is considered a universal material with numerous uses. Can be applied both indoors and outdoors.

  • Vintage Series

Architecture does not tolerate routine and literality. It values individualism, creativity and play with detail. Such is the Vintage Series from Jawor-Parkiet.

Let us imagine gathering the best features of the past decades and combining them into one. In this way, our unique floor is created, in which we can find compositions of opposites and a variety of finishes.

Vintage Series is a two-layer oak floor with a custom design, which, just like a tasteful blend of styles, creates a unique composition. The individual elements are decorated with three different types of finishes – from brushing through the original planning of the surface to the delicate saw marks. There will also be no shortage of natural features of oak flooring, such as slight cracks and natural voids in the raw material. The whole design is protected with three layers of oilwax and finished with 4-side bevelling.

Each of the Vintage Series decors consists of three types of elements and different finishes of the surface, in a similar range of colours. Thanks to this we are sure that the resulting effect will be absolutely unique.

The floor is intended for use on underfloor heating.

Available in the following dimensions: thickness: 15 mm, width: 70 mm, length: 1100–1200 mm.
